Requirements and the SmartScreen step: Windows install page
Read this before you run it
Neither build is code-signed yet, so both platforms warn you on first launch. On macOS 15 and later, open Orbit, let it get blocked, then go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and click Open Anyway. On Windows, click More info and then Run anyway past SmartScreen. The macOS and Windows pages walk through each with the exact wording you will see.
That is a real trust gap rather than a formality. You are running an unsigned binary from a solo developer that manages your git repositories and reads your terminals. Signing is on the list. Until then, the email form below sends exactly one message when notarized builds ship.
What you also get
- A CLI, so the same engine drives from a shell or CI.
- A stdio MCP server with 12 tools, which lets an agent create tasks and launch other agents.
- A TypeScript SDK,
@orbit_sh/sdk, typed against the whole API. - A headless daemon, the same orchestration core as an HTTP service.
Pro at $20 per user per month adds cloud sync across machines, phone control with push notifications, and teams. Nothing in the local product is behind it.
